We are pleased to share that the Bumthang Dzongkhag Administration has formally handed over the Royal Pavilion and ancillary infrastructure at Lingkathang to the Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum and Cultural Centre WPMCC).
Constructed on the grounds of Wangduechhoeling Palace for the historic 118th National Day Celebrations in Bumthang last year, Lingkathang will now serve as Bumthang’s Tendrelthang, hosting important national and district-level events.
The handing-taking was conducted today between the Dasho Dzongda, Bumthang and the Executive Director of WPMCC, in the presence of Dasho Dzongrab and staff from the two institutions.
This valuable infrastructure will greatly support the organization of meaningful cultural and ceremonial programs, strengthening the capacity of both Bumthang and WPMCC to host events of national significance.
