We are pleased to share that the Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum and Cultural Centre (WPMCC) has signed a Grant Agreement with the Bhutan Foundation extending Transition Fund support from the Foundation towards operations and programs of the WPMCC for the second year.
The Agreement was signed today between Ms. Norbu Dema, Country Director of the Bhutan Foundation, and Dr. Kuenga Lhendup, Executive Director of WPMCC. This support is vital in strengthening the operational sustainability and long-term vision of the WPMCC.
We remain deeply grateful for the continued support and partnership of the Bhutan Foundation and its generous donors, whose commitment has been instrumental in nurturing the museum as a dynamic space for cultural preservation, education, and community engagement. The palace itself was meticulously restored over more than a decade by the Bhutan Foundation and the Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development, Royal Government of Bhutan under the leadership of Her Majesty Gyalyum Tseyring Pem Wangchuck.
