Inaugurated on September 25, 2025, under the presence of Her Majesty Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, Echoes of a Kingdom marks the inaugural exhibition of WPMCC. Organized in partnership with Bhutan Echoes and the Bhutan Foundation, the exhibition celebrates the 70th birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
The collection features 70 original paintings by artist Tatjana Krizmanić (Jangchub Dechen), spanning watercolours, scrolls, and multi-panel works that capture Bhutan’s sacred landscapes and living heritage. Gifted entirely by the artist to Bhutan’s permanent collection, the exhibition embodies WPMCC’s vision of honoring royal history through contemporary artistic expression.
