Mindfulness Leadership Workshop

A two-day Mindfulness Leadership Workshop was organized at the Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum and Cultural Centre (WPMCC) from April 8โ€“9, 2026. The program focused on exploring ๐˜›๐˜ด๐˜ฉรช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ป๐˜ฉ๐˜ช – the Four Immeasurables: Loving Kindness, Compassion, Empathetic Joy, and Equanimity. The participants explored how these teachings can be applied in our daily lives and how practicing these values can help deepen our awareness and improve our sense of happiness, while also bringing kindness and well-being to those around us. A session on Bhutanese Traditional Medicine (๐˜š๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ข ๐˜™๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฑ๐˜ข) was also included followed by a one on one consultation. More than 30 participants from around the world took part in the workshop.

As part of the program, participants also visited Kurje Lhakhang and Jampa Lhakhang. They also took part in an archery demonstration and a guided tour of the Palace Museum, offering a deeper experience of Bhutanese culture and traditions. The closing dinner was graced by the Dasho Dzongda and Dasho Dzongrab of Bumthang.

This workshop was conducted in partnership with the Bhutan Foundation and Abroad.io as a pilot program. We hope to build on this experience and conduct similar programs on a regular basis in the future. We also hope to extend such opportunities to Bhutanese youth.

We would like to sincerely thank the Bhutan Foundation and Abroad.io for their support and partnership. We also extend our appreciation to representatives from the Garrison Institute in the USA and the Tsao Family Foundation in Singapore for their participation. We look forward to future opportunities for support and collaboration.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Venerable Lopen Lungten Gyatsho, Dr. Tshewang Wangchuk, Dr. Dorji Wangchuk, Justin Milano, Dr. Anetta Alexandridi, Drungtsho Ugyen, and Drungtsho Tashi for leading and guiding the sessions.
