Inaugurated on 18 December 2025 during the Royal Visit to Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum & Cultural Centre, Soft Power, Strong Leadership: The Great Fourth’s Global Legacy explores the international legacy of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
Organised by UNDP Bhutan in partnership with WPMCC, the exhibition examines His Majesty’s principled diplomacy, environmental leadership, and the philosophy of Gross National Happiness. Through archival photographs, landmark speeches, and records of engagements with world leaders, it traces Bhutan’s influence on global conversations around peace, sustainable development, governance, and the relationship between people and nature.
The exhibition also reflects on the democratic transition initiated by His Majesty from the Throne, presenting it as a defining act of leadership and statesmanship. Together, these materials offer a focused account of a vision that continues to shape Bhutan’s place in the world.
